Dear colleagues,

I apologise if you should receive this email multiple times.

I write on behalf of the scientific organising committee for Splinter
Session 7 of the 23rd Cambridge Workshops on Cool Stars, Stellar
Systems and the Sun (“Cool Stars” meeting), to be held June 15-19 in
Tokyo, Japan. We have been entrusted with organising a splinter
session centered on the study of rotation and magnetism during
post-main-sequence phases of stellar evolution, such as in sub- and
red giants and subsequently. More information can be found at the
splinter session website: https://asteroseismolo.gy/cs23/.

We are pleased to solicit abstracts for contributed talks at this
splinter session. The anticipated length of contributed talks will be
approximately 10 minutes each, with time after for questions. We
envision talks to focus on recent developments, theoretical or
observational, in the study of post-main-sequence stellar rotation
and/or magnetism. If you might be interested in presenting such a
talk, please submit your proposed title and abstract at
http://asteroseismolo.gy/r/cs23 before March 16, 2026.

Please note that, in respect of the strict “one person, one talk” rule
at CS23, selection of talks will be contingent on agreement not to
speak at other sessions, including other splinter sessions. We hope to
finalise all speaker selection and announce the program well in
advance of April 9 — the deadline for Early Bird registration. If you
have any questions about our splinter session, please do not hesitate
to reach out and ask.

Best regards,
Joel Ong,
Li Yaguang,
Sebastien Deheuvels,
Rachael Roettenbacher
