[Mesa-users] PLATO Guest Observer call is now open at ESA, deadline 21 May at noon CEST

It is our pleasure to inform you that ESA has issued the 1st Announcement of Opportunity for PLATO’s Guest Observer (GO) Programme. The call closes at noon CEST on May 21, 2026. The GO programme offers 8% telemetry for new targets or upgraded observing modes of existing targets. Successful applicants get  proprietary access. More information and submission tools are available via https://www.cosmos.esa.int/web/plato/ao-1



We encourage anyone interested in high-precision, high-duty-cycle, space-based photometric data to apply for PLATO GO open time. For those who have not previously considered using space-based photometry, we strongly encourage you to explore PLATO’s capacity for your research. Feel free to join the PLATO Complementary Science consortium to broaden the mission's wide range of topics in astrophysics, including stellar evolution, Galactic structure, transient phenomena, and extragalactic science: https://fys.kuleuven.be/ster/research-projects/plato-cs.
