[Mesa-users] Trying to add new output data

Dear MESA users,


I am trying to output a couple of parameters (accel_div_grav, extra_dPdm) by uncommenting it from the profile_columns.list file but it is showing this error when I am trying to run it:


failed to recognize item for profile columns: accel_div_grav

failed to recognize item for profile columns: extra_dPdm

I have tried the method mentioned on https://docs.mesastar.org/en/25.12.1/using_mesa/extending_mesa.html  under "Adding History & Profile Output”. I’m not sure but I think it works for global parameters and not for the large set of properties for each point in the model of the star. I have tried this on two versions of MESA: r23.05.1 and r24.03.1

Could anyone please advise on how to resolve this issue.
