Hi all:
I'm simulating a 1 Solar-mass star accreting 50 Earth masses of material, and observing an unrealistic spin-up from 1d-5 rad/s to 1d-4 rad/s (a 10x increase). Below is my current configuration:
s% x_ctrl(16) = 1.0d0
s% use_accreted_material_j = .true.
s% accreted_material_j = s% x_ctrl(16)*(sqrt(s% cgrav(1) * s% mstar * 1.44*s% photosphere_r*Rsun))
write(*,*)"accrete_j is on,j=",s% accreted_material_j
accreted_material_j = Angular momentum of accreted material.(in MESA DOC)
However, I don't know whether this represents the total angular momentum or the specific angular momentum of the accreted material. Will MESA multiply 'accreted_material_j' by the mass of the accreted material during calculation?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
J.Lee
