[Mesa-users] Postdoctoral Fellowships at the Center for Computational Astrophysics - New York City

Dear MESA community,

Applications are open for *Flatiron Research Fellow (FRF)* and *Flatiron Software Research Fellow (FSRF)* positions at the *Center for Computational Astrophysics (CCA)* in New York City.

These prestigious fellowships offer early-career scientists the opportunity to pursue independent research in areas that align closely with the CCA or other centers at the Flatiron Institute.

The CCA continues to strengthen its leadership in the *numerical study of stellar structure and evolution (1D and 3D), stellar atmospheres, and stellar transients* — a nd we particularly welcome applicants with expertise in these areas.

Starting in *January 2026* , *Daniel Lecoanet ( https://people.esam.northwestern.edu/~lecoanet/ )* will also join the CCA as a full-time Research Scientist. Daniel is an expert in astrophysical fluid dynamics and a member of the *Dedalus ( https://dedalus-project.org/ )* team, bringing powerful new tools and expertise to our *Stars and Plasma Astrophysics (SPA)* group. Daniel joins a vibrant group interested — among other things —in the computational study of stars and stellar transients.
