[Mesa-users] using another atmospheres

Hi all,

We have a project in which one would benefit from adding up our own
atmospheric calculations, to be done by the means of adding a subroutine
that would provide photospheric conditions back to MESA (using MESA's EOS
and opacities).

Is that possible in the current version of MESA?

What MESA would need from such a subroutine as input?

I looked at the options, and in principle 'fixed_Psurf_and_Tsurf' may do a
rough fix, but that would provide values only once per timestep, if I
understand correctly how interactions is done with own run_single codes,
and would not guarantee that the starting tau would be the same as MESA
thinks, and so the inferred by MESA from a simple equation T_eff may be
wrong.
