Dear Gabriela,

The inferred Yinit depends on the assumed physics.

If you do not include diffusion then the initial Y will be the same as the
final Y, and will end up around 0.25. If you include diffusion you'll find
a Yinit of around 0.27.

If you are including diffusion and still getting a low Yinit then probably
something else is wrong.
