[Mesa-users] Pgplot - how to produce pdf plots?

Dear Paul —

I’m not aware that pgplot can output PDF, but it *can* write Encapsulated PostScript (eps). In your &pgstar namelist group, add the following:

      file_device = 'vcps'             ! options 'png' and 'vcps' for png and postscript respectively
      file_extension = 'eps'           ! common names are 'png' and ‘ps'

You can then convert the eps file to PDF using one of a variety of tools (epspsf, eps2pdf, epstopdf), or in Adobe Illustrator.
