[Mesa-users] He star models evolve with high metallicity

Hi everyone,




I'm trying to evolve the He star models in high metallicity with 'ppisn' in the test_suite.

The models can go through with Z=1E-3 well. But when I use Z=0.01 or 0.02, the timesteps

become very small after logT reaches 7.5 K (Model Number = 2000). Then from 2000 to 100000,

logT increase from 7.5 to 7.6. The inlist file and screenshots are attached.




I am not sure why this model cannot ignite He burning with high metallicity.

In order to make this model go through with Z=0.01 or 0.02 well, besides initial_Z and Zbase,

which parameters should also be changed ?
