[Mesa-users] Doubt about change in the condition to apply magnetic braking

Dear all,

I have been currently working with MESA version 15140 but I used in
the past the version 10108 and I was wondering about the change in the
condition to apply magnetic braking.

In version 15140 (and also in most recent versions), the condition
depends on two mass fractions

jdot_mb_max_qconv_env = 0.99d0
jdot_mb_max_qrad_core = 1d-2 (latest version: jdot_mb_max_qconv_core = 1d-2)

In version 10108, if I understood correctly, this was not controlled
by controls and the assumed limiting fractions were 0.75 and 0.25, for
the envelope and the core, respectively (in subroutine
check_radiative_core).

I wonder if you could please kindly let me know the motivation for
such a change in the default values of the condition to apply magnetic
braking.

I greatly appreciate your help in understanding this.
