[Mesa-users] Plotting evaporation mass loss

Hello Divyansh,

I don't believe a mass loss rate due to evaporation exists in MESA by
default. To incorporate the effects of evaporation on the companion star,
you'll likely need to implement equation (12) from the paper you shared
yourself as a run_star_extras routine using an 'other hook', see Extending
MESA

If you want to model the effects of evaporation mass loss on the evolution
of the companion you can use 'other_wind' or 'other_adjust_mdot' to modify
the mass loss rate of the companion. Otherwise, you can just use the
'data_for_extra_history_columns' function to compute what it would be given
the state of your model, and output it to your history.data file, with no
impact on the evolution of your model, although this is not a
self-consistent approach.
