[Mesa-users] Lithium Abundance Issues in the Convective Layer and Pre-models

Hello,

I am currently trying to examine astrophysical solutions to the lithium
problem using MESA. To do so, I've modified the Low Z test suite of MESA
to fit the specific parameters I need. Unfortunately, I am having issues
with my lithium abundance in the outer convective layer. Li7 drops off at
-22 on a log abundance scale in the outer layer, instead of rising to
roughly -9.

More broadly, even when I specify what abundances the model should be using
in its initial conditions, the model does not seem to use these initial
conditions. I have included how I specified these conditions:

(In my Inlist's Star Job): initial_zfracs=0;

(In my Inlist's Controls):
z_fraction_li= 3.564854E-9
z_fraction_be=1.084685E-8
z_fraction_b=1.838182E-7
z_fraction_c=0.1819942
etc.

I have attached a photo of my plot immediately after burning has begun in
the star.

I suspect that constructing a pre_ZAMS model and THEN specifying these
conditions rather than trying to do everything from scratch may fix this
problem. In that case, how would I go about constructing this pre main
model?

Thank you for any help you can provide with this subject!
