Hi Erica,

You can stop the simplex based on an absolute chi2 level 
'simplex_chi2_tol' or after a fixed number of simplex calls 
'simplex_itermax' but to my knowledge there is not a knob that does 
exactly what you are after. Instead simplex_a_atol' and rtol are doing 
something along those lines (but different...as described in your inlist)
