Good Evening from Indonesia,
Right now, I am trying to reproduce some results from paper "A Systematic
Survey of the Effects of Wind Mass Loss Algorithms on the Evolution of
Single Massive Stars" (https://arxiv.org/abs/1703.09705) and fortunately
the author of the paper has shared the *mesa inlist* and customized
*run_start_extras.f* that he used in that paper that we can access here (
https://stellarcollapse.org/renzo2017.html). Anyway we use the *r7624*
(running via NuDocker).
Long story short, this time what I have done and what I am trying to do is
I want to do some modifications from the paper above that is to enhance the
stellar winds mass loss coefficient (\eta ) let say \eta = 5 and \eta=10.
Actually this idea to enhance is from this paper (
https://www.aanda.org/articles/aa/full_html/2015/03/aa24671-14/aa24671-14.html
and several other papers).
*This simulation works well *in the 12Msun with \eta=5 and \eta=10,
but the *problem
*happens when I do the same thing with the higher masses, i.e. 20Msun with
\eta=10 and 25Msun with \eta=10. Here I attach the error message from the
terminal that I got when running the 25Msun \eta=10 (the error code happens
the same with the 20Msun \eta=10) . it says
"hdyro_newton_step returned ierr
Retry cnt, step, log 10(dt/yr), retry_factor x xxxx -x.xxxxxx
x.xxxxxx".
(idk if this is a error code or not to be honest, but since this line code
happen some properties does not change along with the increasing time step,
namely central temperature and mass of the star)
I don't know if this additional information will be useful, but I do little
modification on the code, just to reduce the computational resolution, viz.
*inlist_massive_defaults*
mesh_delta_coeff = 2.5 (previously 1.5)
mesh_delta_coeff_for_highT = 3.5 (previously 2.5)
*inlist project*
mesh_delta_coeff_for_highT = 2.5 (previously 1.0)
mesh_delta_coeff = 2.5 (previously 1.0)
max_allowed_nz=100000000 (previously 300000000)
the model evolve until Tc = 10^9
So here my question is, *what is the meaning of this "error code" *? How
could I solve this problem? Thank you in advance, any assistance will be
very helpful for me.
