hi amar,
nothing prevents the output quantity surf_avg_omega_div_omega_crit from being greater than unity.
when this happens, presumably dynamic events occur - this is what your plot suggests happen.
perhaps explore the models in more detail (mass loss?) around when surf_avg_omega_div_omega_crit
spikes and subsequently decreases sharply.

Further, to implement different rotations, I am setting new_omega_div_omega_crit to desired values (i.e., 0.0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, and 0.8 ) in inlist_mass_Z_wind_rotation. I could successfully evolve the models up to the stage of core collapse. Later, to see the implemented rotation speeds, I plotted the "surf_avg_omega_div_omega_crit" against the "star_age" for the evolution period between near ZAMS up to the exhaustion of core he burn (plot attached). Surprisingly, I found out that for "new_omega_div_omega_crit = 0.6 and 0.8", the "surf_avg_omega_div_omega_crit" went beyond 1 for a shorter period during last stages.
