[Mesa-users] A Problem About Overshooting Parameters

Dear MESA users,

I am trying to use mesa to reproduce a previous work about the progenitors of white dwarf. In this work the author had set a parameter δ_ov about the overshooting stage, which I could not find a proper parameter corresponding to it in MESA. The relevant parts of the paper are shown below：

We set α = l/H p , the ratio of typical mixing length to the local pressure scaleheight, to 2, and set the convective overshooting parameter δ ov to 0.12 (Pols et al. 1997; Schröder, Pols & Eggleton 1997), which roughly corresponds to an overshooting length of ∼0.25 pressure scaleheights (Hp).

I tried to set the parameters overshoot_f and overshoot_f0 to 0.3 and 0.05 to make the overshooting length matches 0.25 pressure scaleheights. However, this value is obviously much too large for a star with 2.4 solar mass. So I was wondering what is the proper way to set this parameter. I will attach my inlists file and the screenshots of the article. The version of my software is r22.05.01.

I would appreciate it if someone could help me solve the problem.
