Hi Abhijnan,

No, if std_distance_for_irradiation is set to -1, then the relative irradiation won't be used. If you don't want the irradiation to be set relative to the orbital separation in the binary, then you might want to look at the single-star irradiation controls here: https://docs.mesastar.org/en/release-r22.11.1/reference/star_job.html#irrad-col-depth <https://docs.mesastar.org/en/release-r22.11.1/reference/star_job.html#irrad-col-depth>
