Dear Jared, 

Many thanks for your reply. I am attaching two files namely, final_without_u.mod and final_with_u.mod . The final_without_u.mod file is generated without setting change_initial_u_flag = .true. and new_u_flag = .true . while the final_with_u.mod used these two settings in inlist_infall .

Hi Amar, 
For us to reproduce the error, a model at core-collapse and an inlist_infall would be helpful; that being said I think you've found a good solution! 

Old versions of the test_suite changed to using u_flag in inlist_finish in order to produce a model that could readily be read in by the example_ccsn_IIp case; I'm not sure why that is no longer the case.

Recently, I was struggling with the issue of r_center not changing while evolving the shock using ccsn_IIp directory ( inlist_infall ). But it seems I found some solution. In the latest (mesa-r21.12.1) version of mesa test_suit directory 20M_pre_ms_to_core_collapse, we do not have the option to change the velocity flag however when I do so using the star_job controls change_initial_u_flag = .true. and new_u_flag = .true . in the inlist_to_cc, the problem of r_center not changing is resolved and the shock could be evolved till the desired limit using inlist_shock_part5 . Further, the mesa.abn and mesa.hyd files could also be used in STELLA to generate the light curve.

Subject: r_center not changing in inlist_infall 

Dear mesa-user team, 

I am trying to produce a stripped progenitor having ZAMS mass of 25 M_sun. I imposed the condition envelope_mass_limit = 0.01 along with mass_change = -1d-3 in inlist_remove_envelope to produce a stripped progenitor. The model could successfully evolve up to the stage of Fe-core infall indicated by the termination code ' fe_core_infall_limit '. The stripped model has a mass ~ 7.4 M_sun at the stage of Fe-core infall. 
Further, I used the final.mod file generated at the end of the evolution and tried to evolve the shock using the ccsn_IIp directory. But the model continues to run (Ran more than 100,000 steps) without converging and no change in r_center is seen. What could be the possible cause for this situation. Any help to evolve the model further shall be highly appreciated.
