[Mesa-users] Problem with a Mass loss from a binary

Hi,
Yes you can stop the model, save a model file for each star (not a photo),
then rerun mesa and load those models back in but with a new initial
period. I use this when I want to ignore the companion (by putting the
period at 1d8 days). The other option is just to save a model then load it
in a star work directory rather than a binary work directory (so you do one
star at a time without a companion).
To take mass off at a constant rate, in the controls inlist for each star
you can set mass_change to a chosen Mdot or use one of the relax routines
to remove mass. It's not clear from your question whether this worked? or
there was an error? Or something else occurred?
