Hi Erica,
With a max_years_for_timestep = 1d5 and max_model_number = 6500 your
simulation will end with an age of ~650 Myr.
That does *not* mean it has reached any specific evolutionary point, just
that it has reached the max_model_number and that is one criterion for MESA
to terminate the evolution.
A 1 Msun model (at solar Z) should have a main sequence lifetime of ~10 Gyr
so you would need about 10^5 timesteps to reach the end of the main
sequence with a max_years_for_timestep = 1d5.
