[Mesa-users] 7M_prems_to_AGB metallicity

hi orsola,

for continuous integration purposes (i.e., frequent testing) 
certain phases of evolution are skipped to reduce the time it 
takes to test a mesa developers change. in this case, building
the initial model is skipped, which is why the metallicity 
does not change when you change it inlist_start.

if you set the environment variable (assuming a bash shell)

export MESA_RUN_OPTIONAL=1

the ./rn script will then run all the inlists, and thus pick up 
the change in metallicity.


i would not be surprised if in the next public release the default 
is changed to run all inlists as the issue you describe has come 
up several times in the past week or so.
