[Mesa-users] MESA installation EOS test fail

There were a few cases of a similar issues on the mailing list archive, but the solution that worked for them (export MESA_TEMP_CACHES_DISABLE=1) did not work in my case.

My machine is a 64-bit 8GB RAM Windows 10 (Home); but I'm running the install on my 16.04 Ubuntu Virtual Box.

First, it would help if you followed the instructions under "What should you do if MESA did not install successfully?":

     http://mesa.sourceforge.net/prereqs.html#what-should-you-do-if-mesa-did-not-install-successfully

Did you search the mailing list for users who had similar issues?  Also, these details would help:

     Describe your computer (machine type, operating system, operating system version).

     What is the output of each of the following commands?

     uname -a
     gfortran -v
     echo $MESASDK_ROOT
     echo $PATH
     echo $MESA_DIR

That said, how much RAM does your system have?  MESA basically requires about 8GB.  I'd hazard a guess that the EoS tester is running out and therefore getting killed by the operating system.
