Hi Kai-an, 

You can find definitions and explanations in $MESA_DIR/star/defaults/history_columns.list and $MESA_DIR/star/defaults/profile_columns.list

h1 is the mass fraction of hydrogen-1 in the cell, so the total mass of hydrogen per zone is h1*dm. h2 is deuterium and usually h1 >> h2, so h1 + h2 ~ h1
