[Mesa-users] Missing eos data - 15140

Hi Frank,

Yes, I did try to reinstall MESA after deleting the eos data. I did also re-download MESA and try to reinstall and still got the same error.

I'm not sure it's a memory issue. I have 100+ GB of free disk space and the available RAM never dropped below 5.5 GB during installation.

hi rachel,

presumably you tried the advice given in test_quietly.txt at the point of failure:

> FATAL ERROR: missing or bad eos data.
> Please update by removing the directories mesa/data/eos*_data and rerunning the mesa ./install script.


check that you have enough disk space (e.g., disk not 100% full).
quit all other programs to maximize the available ram.
when you run ./install, monitor the ram and disk space being used.
if the ram or disk get close to their maximums, it could be that
the machine's resources are too small.

another possibility, unlikely, is your 15140 download got corrupted.
try downloading a fresh version and trying install again.
