[Mesa-users] entropy relaxation for white dwarfs

Hi all,

I'm trying to relax the entropy of a white dwarf taken from a hydro simulation. It was successful (at least as far as I know, Ive attached profiles demonstrating this) however I used a larger relaxation timescale to accomplish it (1d2). I read in the star_job defaults that the timescale should be kept to less than a second. My question is this: What is the consequence of using a large relaxation timescale? For some reason, using a timescale any smaller than 1d-2 results in a model that cannot converge once relaxation is over.
