[Mesa-users] Letter to Professors

Hi Kai-an,

To run STELLA, you need to first create the input files mesa.hyd and
mesa.abn, which are plain text files, following (for example) the
test_suite case example_ccsn_IIp.
In the terminal, go to the STELLA directory, (cd $MESA_DIR/stella/), and
copy the mesa.hyd and mesa.abn files into the modmake/ folder of your
STELLA directory. It sounds like you've already done this.

Then, run stella by executing the ./rn command from inside $MESA_DIR/stella/

*The output should generate automatically, and will be contained in the
folder $MESA_DIR/stella/res/  *

If you have moved the STELLA directory to a different location, then you
will also need to change the name of your MESA_DIR in the makefile.
