The ./show_rates code lets you see which reaction rates you’re using.
You may also want to check what the default was for the version of Reaclib that you’re using, since the Nacre rate was at one point the default. The reaction rate label is in the jina rate file located in $MESA_DIR/data/rates_data/. The meanings of the labels are on the Reaclib webpage: https://reaclib.jinaweb.org/labels.php. You can also compare various rates for c12(a,g) on Reaclib: https://reaclib.jinaweb.org/c12(a,g). It could be that the two different rates you use just aren’t that different for your purposes.

I write in the inslist_common (I'm basing my model on the example_make_pre_ccsn from test_suite) in the section &star_job the following: set_rate_c12ag = 'NACRE'. But when the evolution ends it seems that there isn't any change at all from the model without the above line, which theoretically uses the jina reaclib rate for that reaction. How can i be sure that the rate of the reaction is set properly? Shouldn't this different rate change something regarding the e.g. co_core_mass of the star?
