Since you're using run_star_extras already, I would try setting

s% write_profiles_flag = .false.

when you set your termination condition.  I think that should work, but I
didn't test it.  Try it and report back.

Looking in star_job, I’ve tried
> * write_profile_when_terminate = .false.*
> but this hasn’t worked for me.

That control is a bit deceptively named, in that I think it only applies to
the special profile with the name specified by
filename_for_profile_when_terminate and not profiles in general.
