i'm unsure what you've completed, but i suggest working through:

1) http://mesa.sourceforge.net/starting.html

2) https://jschwab.github.io/mesa-2019/

3) following the practices learned above, copy the test suite case
   $MESA_DIR/star/test_suite/make_brown_dwarf
   and slowly bump the mass up to proxima centauri's 0.12 msun.
