[Mesa-users] NuDocker - another docker environment for MESA with the goal to support reproducibility of science

For those of you who (like myself) are struggling with keeping old MESA versions running, especially in the context of reproducibility of science, I have created NuDocker: https://github.com/NuGrid/NuDocker

NuDocker was initially intended to run NuGrid codes, but in fact has so far mostly been used to run MESA. Docker images can but do not have to be created. The docker images needed to run any version from 4942 to the latest versions are pre-made and will automatically be downloaded from the docker hub repository. NuDocker lets you specify at the command line start script a host dir where mesa source is located, and optionally a host path name to be mounted into the docker image for runs. NuDocker has been tested to rev. 10398, but I am pretty sure image nudome:18.0 will also run the latest version 12115.

Unlike Evan Bauer’s docker environment NuDocker is not intended and has not been tested to run MESA on Windows. It has been tested on Mac and Linux hosts.
