Perfect. Thanks. That region is exactly where I was running into problems.
I managed to circumvent the issue by introducing a small central
luminosity (using L_center) to keep the interior temperature above
3500 K. That luminosity is small enough that I still get reasonable
agreement for my planetary radius, for example, with previous work
(Lopez & Fortney 2014).
I will be sure to post my codes, etc. once our publication is prepped.
