Hi Gabriela,

Are you looking to modify a MESA simulation that you’ve already run?
If so, you can change the initial mass as documented here:
https://docs.mesastar.org/en/latest/reference/controls.html

Or are you looking to to run your first simulation?
You can find examples of pre main sequence and ZAMS in the test suite as documented here:
http://mesa.sourceforge.net/starting.html

If you have a specific question, you can find information about troubleshooting here:
http://mesa.sourceforge.net/troubleshooting.html

Sincerely,

Jacqueline Goldstein (she/her/hers)

Hello!

Is it possible to use a model of a star like the Sun until ZAMS to calculate the evolution of a star with a different mass starting in the ZAMS?
Thank you so much.

Sincerely,
Gabriela Lapa
