[Mesa-users] Checking whether a star is in the Herzsprung gap

Dear MESA users,

I would like to ask if you could suggest the best way to verify if a star
has entered the Hertzsprung gap from the mesa outputs.

So far I have tried to use the power of H burning, which should be at its
minimum during the Hertzsprung gap. However, I cannot find any point where
it is substantially lower than,  e.g., the main sequence, up to the end of
the RGB.
