Hi Kai-an,

The file (in stella/res) mesa.swd.ph contains the photospheric velocity
information (and more) and also has column labels.

However, photospheric velocities in STELLA are determined by the tau=2/3
photosphere coordinate, which is not always equivalent to where spectral
lines are formed.
To match or model Fe-5169 A line velocity data, for example, I recommend
using the v_tau_med column of mesa.vel_feII (See MESA instrument paper
4, Paxton
et al 2018 <https://arxiv.org/abs/1710.08424>for more details).

In general, the stella/README has a description of the most useful output
files. Files directly output by STELLA are harder to interpret, which is
one reason why the res/stella_extras.f90 script makes more human-readable
output files such as mesa.swd.ph.
