On a memory constrained system, you might also consider setting use_eosELM
= .false. .  That can result in significant memory savings at the cost of
only slightly worse convergence properties during the iterative solves. It
does not alter the input physics.  (The ELM / HELM tradeoff is meant to be
strictly numerical in nature.) You might happily trade ~half the memory
usage at the cost of a few extra timesteps.
