[Mesa-users] Energy transfer between different layers

Dear Mesa-users

My Ph.D. thesis is about “Effect of dark matter particles on stellar
structures and evolutions”. In this concern, I edited run_star_extras.f
file and added a new source of energy through dark matter particles
annihilations at the center of the star.

Now, my question is, does MESA transfer this new source of energy to upper
layers in the next steps of its evolution, automatically. Or I have to add
new code lines in order to transfer this new energy source to upper layers?

I would be very grateful if you help me with more information about the
question.
