Yes, it's possible you can change each components' initial Z using with inlist... you must add this parameter under star job in your inlis1 or/and inlist2,
example;
&star_job
mesa_dir = ''
show_log_description_at_start = .true.
change_initial_Z = .true.
new_Z = 0.014
pgstar_flag = .true.
/ ! end of star_job namelist

Hello everyone,
I would like to make binary evolution with stars which have different z, not original 0.02. Nothing fancier, just trying to do evolution until mass transfer.
I couldn't find any parameter to change z in binary mode. Am i missing something?
If there is none, should I make single star models with different z then use those models for binary mode with simultaneous evolution? I'm open to suggestions.
