Hi,

>how exactly does MESA/RSP compute the V/I band light curves as per the
history_columns.list

MESA computes the apparent magnitudes in private/history.f90 line ~
1205-1248 (get_abs_mag_by_id and friends, and calls functions in the
colors/ module)

>and what is the difference between log_lum_bandV and log_lum_band bb_V?

log_lum_band V is luminosity in the Johnson V band based on the bolometric
corrections from Lejeune, Cuisinier, Buser (1998) which is based on stellar
atmosphere models. These need Teff, log g and M/H at the photosphere
log_lum_band bb_V is the V band luminosity of a blackbody, thus needs only
the Teff at the photosphere.
