check that you are running the Xquartz 2.7.11.
perhaps re-install Xquartz, https://www.xquartz.org
i'm also confused.
giza is a plotting library that mesa does not use.
or is giza the name of your machine?
or is giza something else?
if you have the giza plotting library installed then you appear to be getting some
odd interaction between programs (like pgstar) that use the Xquartz x11 library and giza.
if this is the case, then i cannot offer much guidance beyond this.
