[Mesa-users] Re-installing MESA In Another Directory

Dear Mesa-users


My Ph.D. thesis is about “The Effect of Dark Matter Particles on Stellar
Structure and Evolutions”. In this concern, I need to make a few changes in
mesa code.


At now, I installed mesa-r10398 version on Linux-Ubuntu 16.04 LTS operating
system (in ~/mesa-r10398 directory).


Is there any way to re-install the mesa-r10398 version in another directory
(e.g. in ~/mesa-r10398-b directory) and modify the ~/mesa-r10398-b
independent of the currently installed one?

Do I need to re-install mesasdk for the ~/mesa-r10398-b one?


I would be very grateful if you help me with more guidance about the
procedure that I must do.
