Hi Albert,

Zbase is the nominal Z value of your model without any additional metals
created by nuclear burning.  If you don’t use element diffusion, then you
can use your initial Z for Zbase.

Zbase is only relevant for Type2 opacities, which allow for excess C and O
created during He burning.
