[Mesa-users] New to MESA and a question

Dear MESA Users,

I am new to MESA and want to run some models to get used to the procedures.

Possible that my question/problem is trivial...

I downloaded the inlist files for Capella (from MESA marketplace attached,
Capella.zip) as was used here:
http://adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/2015ApJ...807...26T
I simply want to try to reproduce these tracks to get used to MESA.

I tried to adapt this inlist file to a newer MESA release. I am using
mesa-r10398 and the inlist_capella is attached.

Now I am a bit confused concerning the overshoot parameter(s), since the
definition of them has changed, I guess.
What I understood from the documentation:
If I want f_ov = 0.02:
1. get diffusion coeff. with, e.g., f_0 = 0.05
2. then set f = 0.05 + f_ov = 0.07
So:
   overshoot_f_above_burn_h_core = 0.07
   overshoot_f0_above_burn_h_core = 0.05

But now my star it to old, to much mixing.
If I set overshoot_f =
0.02 I get closer (I mean closer, not matching) to the tracks in Torres et
al. (2015). They used f_ov = 0.02 and alpha_MLT = 1.85

What I would like to know is, what is the difference between these two
settings and what has to be done to set f_ov?

Maybe even someone from that paper I mentioned is on that list?

Thanks in advance and all the best,
D
