[Mesa-users] Install mesa-r11701 failed in ubuntu 64bit system

in my experience, such errors arose from a 32 bit OS trying to 
operate on a file larger than it can handle (~2 GB). 
mesa requires a 64 bit OS.

i don't know enough about ubuntu to say anything more.
