[Mesa-users] Evolution simulation questions

Hi Croxmor,

You can find the answer to this by looking in
MESA_DIR/star/private/winds.f90, which I found by grep'ing for 'Reimers'
through star/private. In there you'll see a function called
eval_wind_for_scheme. Following the logic, the wind gets set as

                wind = 4d-13*(L1*R1/M1)/(Lsun*Rsun/Msun) ! in Msun/year

Following this, if you've set the scheme to 'Reimers', it just gets
multiplied by a scale-factor called Reimers_scaling_factor, which you can
set in the controls section of your inlist.

If you want to modify the wind prescription I'd recommend using the
other_wind hook in run_star_extras. That will let you write your own
prescription.

Cheers,
-Adam
