[Mesa-users] number of stars for given mass range

Dear All,
            Sorry, if my question is too naive. I want to calculate the
number of stars in a galaxy for a given mass-range. Can I calculate this
using MESA? If, yes then what changes should I make to get the desired
number. Which module will be suitable for this calculation?
Please let me know if my question is not clear to you.
