[Mesa-users] Why the results are so mesh-sensitive?

Interesting!  I haven't experimented with these myself but is it possible 
to summarise?  It looks like two qualitative limits they used that are 
directly related to mass loss are (paraphrased)

     next timestep <= min(t_KH, M/|Mdot|)

and

     dm(near surface) << Mdot*timestep

That is, for the second constraint, you want high spatial resolution in 
the regions being lost, and those directly below.  (For those who haven't 
looked at the paper, Renzo et al. used 500/mesh_delta_coeff points for the 
outermost 0.5 Msun, and Mdot*timestep was always much less than 0.5 Msun.)
