[Mesa-users] White dwarf cooling for different compositions

Hi,
I'm new to MESA, and I'm trying to produce white dwarf cooling tracks for
different compositions (i.e. changing the width of the He and H layers).
I'm using the wd_cool_0.6M example from the test suite, where I added to
the inlist_wd_cool_0.6M under &star_job:
num_steps_to_relax_composition = 1 ! use this many steps to do conversion
relax_composition_filename = 'composition.dat' ! file holding composition
profile information
and in composition.dat I have, for example:

The resulting abundance plot seems fine, but I don't see any difference in
the cooling track when I edit the composition.dat file. What am I doing
wrong?
In addition, the wd_cool_0.6M test uses a wd_0.6.mod model that starts from
an effective temperature of ~17000K, so it messes up the age. How can I
start from a hotter WD?
