I want to emphasize the importance of heeding Aaron’s comment about using helm in regions where it is designed to work well and not calling it outside of those regsions such as where complete ionization is not a good assumption.


In domains where it is applicable, helm is great since it provides details of things like electron pressure.

In domains where we use other eos sources, i.e. in regions where the full ionization assumption is not appropriate, we cannot provide electron pressure because those sources do not include it.    if you need electron pressure in such regions, you need to lobby for new work by the folks who do eos research.   that’s not us.
