[Mesa-users] Problem with mass transfer rate for massive donors accreting onto a BH.

Dear MESA users,

I am running some binary systems with a massive donor and a massive BH. I
am using the MESA version 10108.

I gave a look at some inlists from the summer schools page and adapted them
for my purpose (i.e. Marchant 2017, De Mink 2017, Phinney 2015).
The runs seem to perform well for  donor masses up to 12 Msol.

For higher donor masses, in the range 15-25 Msol, the evolution of the mass
transfer is not smooth at the end of the case A mass transfer phase.

Moreover, the more massive the donor, the more enhanced this effect is.
Changing 'varcontrol_target_case_a' and 'varcontrol_target_case_b''
diminishes the oscillation in the mass transfer, but the problem persists.


Can someone please help me to understand if something important is missing
in my inlists ot if this is the expected behaviour for a massive donor star?
Enclosed, please find the inlists relative to one of the aforementioned
runs and a plot describing the problem.
