[Mesa-users] Mesa installation problem

older version, including 7624, can be downloaded from
https://sourceforge.net/projects/mesa/files/releases/

7624 misreports itself as 7623. it is cosmetic only.
the version number is saved as plain text in $MESA_DIR/data/version_number .
